Frequently Asked Questions
Is everything I discuss in counseling confidential??
Yes! The only exception to this rule is if you express feelings of harming yourself or someone else.
What types of counseling is available at RGC?
Currently we have intense group substance abuse treatment weekend classes, a group maintaining sobriety class on Tuesdays nights, a group motivation & empowerment class on Thursday nights, individual (private)treatment sessions, and private couple’s counseling.
What are your rates?
Our substance abuse treatment classes, depending on how many session/hours that are recommended, typically range from $40-$45 per session/hour for our weekend substance abuse treatment classes. Breaking your substance abuse treatment classes into weekly sessions are priced differently. Individual treatment sessions are $60 per hour. Couples counseling is $60 per person, per hour. Our weekly, 1 hour, maintaining sobriety group classes and 1 hour motivation & empowerment group classes, are $25 per week.
What areas of treatment does RGC specialize in?
We assist diverse clients going through many different struggles and challenges. Examples include, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, PTSD, marriage conflicts, family dysfunctions, and substance abuse/addiction, just to name a few.
For court ordered clients, how does the referral process work?
After receiving a DUI and completing your required evaluation with the Safety Council, they will let you know if you met the criteria for a referral to a substance abuse treatment agency. Once you’ve picked a provider and signed your referral, the Safety Council usually takes about 24-48 hours to get us your referral. Once RGC receives your referral, we will reach out to you to set up your free evaluation. Once your evaluation is complete, you will have a better understanding of what your next steps are to satisfy your DUI.
The judge/court didn’t tell me I have to do this part, why am I being referred and why do I have to do this?
Great question! When you are being referred to a substance abuse treatment agency by the Safety Council due to a DUI, it is because you met their criteria for a referral. Once a referral is made the DMV is notified, which means if you don’t complete the recommended treatment the DMV will not allow you to carry a valid license until it’s completed, or your current license will be suspended due to not compliance. Of course, this is not absolutely set in stone, each client’s case is different. If you have a specific question about the status of your license and what is necessary, you should give the DMV a call.
